Character and heart
Character and heart are two very different things in boxing. Take Lucas Matthysse. A humble nice guy. I'm a fan. Everyone branded him some gladiator, though, some born warrior. Which simply isn't true, he quits every time the going gets hard. He just sits down and let it pass. Broner, on the other hand, is an annoying brat and like Matthyse, he is not some great fighter. But no one can deny that Broner is a true warrior, not afraid to fight good opponents and who would rather take a brutal beating than surrender. Sometimes, the humble nice guys simply aren't as hardcore as we wish they were and sometimes, the annoying tough-acting ****** guys just happen to be as tough as they claim, despite us wishing for the opposite. Let's no be so damned romantic about everything.
