This is GREAT for the Teofimo Lopez, Shakur Stevenson and young guys like that, their entire careers get to play out on ESPN/ESPN+

Now I can by this app and not feel cheated.

They still need to do something about the mismatches. But the international additions make it worth it now.

This deal makes the Loma/Mikey fight even more impossible. There's is no way they allow a Loma/Mikey fight to happen anywhere else but ESPN. Same with Crawford and any fighter with Showtime. They need to fill those big prime time dates. It will be hard for any big fighters to agree and allow Arum to dictate terms to fight on ESPN. Is ESPN and Arum willing to pay more to have these fighters fight on their network for one fight?

Teiken gets you Chocolatito/Linares/Murata, Zanfer gets you Munguia, and Warren gets you Warrington/Saunders/Fury and others. Put that with Top Rank, and you've got things set for some interesting matchups.

Warrington-Valdez for the IBF/WBO 126lb titles, Saunders-Murata for the WBO 160lb belt, Gonzalez-Ancajas at 115lb, Munguia fighting at 154, Fury/Ruiz/Parker/Jennings/DuBois making a decent little heavyweight division, while the unified championship shot gets sorted out, etc.

Nowhere enough to deliver 54 shows a year, though.
The only problem with some of the names you mentioned is that some are being co-promoted in the US with other promoters like GB and Loeffler. Chocolatito, Linares, Munguia would be fighting on HBO mostly.

Munguia owed an option to Golden Boy; Golden Boy made the apparent attempt to become the US co-promoter for Munguia, but it'd seem like Zanfer went another direction.

No idea what the actual deals look like, for Linares or Chocolatito, but neither guy seems to ever move on anything without first getting the okay from Mr Honda, and Mr Honda seems to have thrown his lot in with ESPN+ and Top Rank.
