Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce Wants To 'Make Statement' By Fighting Luis Ortiz

LOS ANGELES Joe Joyce sat ringside Saturday night and got an up-close look at Luis Ortiz. The huge British heavyweight didn't seen anything that would deter him from fighting the hard-hitting heavyweight contender. Ortiz demolished Romania's Razvan Cojanu in the second round of their scheduled 10-round fight at Staples Center, where Ortiz crushed Cojanu (16-4, 9 KOs) with a left hand that dropped his 6-feet-7, 269-pound opponent and ended their fight.

Easy win for Joe Joyce, very admirable of him to be willing to take out the over-hyped trash. Watch how quck all the knobheads on here drop Luis Ortiz after this fight. Like you all (mostly non-Brits) haven't been acting like he's some kinda boxing God/boogeyman.

Brits have another **** to drool on.

I remember it was all Tyson Fury, then they jumped to David Price, then back to Fury, then to Joshua.

Brits are the worst. This is what happens when you send all your educated men to die in wars and leave the disgusting refuge on a tiny island.

It’ll make Wilder look a bit ****** if Joyce wrecks him.

Please sink into obscurity before you career even begins.

Like every heavyweight on the planet (excluding Price & Chisora) they are all overrated.

There is a loudmouth American that gets hyped up massively by his fans on here. He's not well known but I think his name is something like Jarred Mullen? Anyway long and short of it is he is a skinny legged idiot who talks about the king of the heavyweight division. He'll fade into oblivion soon too.

Ortiz would have problems gauging Joyces awkward movements and non stop punching . This could go either way , i would have to take younger Joyce bc of stamina and work rate but ????

It makes sense but you'll never see it bc Hughie already declined it and Peter knows its not a good idea .
