Comments Thread For: Ryota Murata vs. Rob Brant Purse Bid is Ordered By WBA

While there have been some rumblings that Ryota Murata, the WBA 'regular' middleweight champion, could be facing Jason Quigley in Las Vegas in October, the WBA has ordered a purse bid for Murata and mandatory challenger Rob Brant. The purse bid is scheduled for Monday August 13th at the WBA offices in Panama. The minimum bid has been set for $200,000 with a 50-50 split between the two.

Good to see Golden Boy and Top Rank working together. Hopefully Haymon and Bob work together to make the Loma vs Garcia fight. They only work together when Loma fights one of Haymon C fighters.

Arum already said he won't do it. Haymon works with anyone if the money is right for his fighter period. Russell is a C fighter? That fight was for a title. These guys are not working together because they want to it is because they have to. If it weren't for a title or eliminator it would not happen.

Manny had to leave Arum to fight Lucus. He pretty much owns the WBO so his fighters never have to face anyone and that is why we rarely see undisputed champs. Ramirez didn't even want to face his mandatory Prograis, and wouldn't join the tournament.

Haymon has worked with every promoter in the sport, more than anyone else.
