Yea, Usyk thus far. If Mikey actually fights (and somehow beats) Spence this year like he says he will, we can call Mikey fighter of the year.

Not sure if even a win over Spence would be enough for fighter of the year. He would definitely be in discussion. So far, he's not even close.

Right now, it's Usyk by a mile. If he fights Bellew or a decent HW by end of year, it's him 99% chance. If he doesn't, Lomachenko is in short discussion if he fights a top fighter in the fall/winter.

Or if Wilder gets Fury fight, he could be in discussion as well.

For pretending he wants Spence? Might as well have Ocampo as the runner up then.

It's Usyk by far. Briedis is much better and more accomplished than Easter or Lipinets and Gassiev is even better than him and was for every belt.

He beats Spence, he's. Usyk's last fight was seen as 50/50. No one is giving Mikey a chance to beat Spence.
