Hearns only signed Ortiz to make sure he could keep him away from Joshua, no way will he make that fight imo!

Anthony, "You can't make me fight." Joshua will never fight Ortiz. AJ's the laughing stock of boxing. Fifty million dollars confirmed, and AJ refuses to fight. Only AJ folks. Only AJ.

The time was 40 seconds & Wilder was holding on most of that time. Ortiz had already been down 2x, he was not fresh by any means.
Ortiz's KO ratio is 30% higher than Whyte's, he fought David Allen immediately after Whyte went the distance with him and actually stopped him in 7. If you watch Whyte-Allen and Ortiz-Allen there is a clear gap in class, even the comment section is roasting Whyte for his performance.
Ortiz annihilated Jennings in 6 after Jennings already beat Mike Perez & went the distance with Wlad. Ortiz also destroyed Thompson in 6 when Pulev-Takam went the distance.
He even dominated Malik Scott far easier than Chisora, Scott got dropped 5x only averaging 13 punches per round. Vs Chisora, Scott was winning on all the scorecards prior to a premature 6th round stoppage. Even after getting knocked out he's still better than Whyte.

ANTHONY JOSHUA will lose his WBA title if he fails to agree a fight with mandatory challenger Luis Ortiz before September 3, according to the Cuban’s manager.
AJ has the whole of heavyweight boxing on his case after he beat Wladimir Klitschko into retirement in April in a thrilling Wembley fight for 90,000 fans.
Kubrat Pulev is Joshua's IBF mandatory fight and he is angling for a massive payday against the English golden boy.
And Ortiz is upping the pressure on the Watford star to defend his WBA belt or face losing it without throwing a punch.
King Kong Ortiz’s manager Jay Jimenez has warned Josh to hurry up with negotiations or his man will be handed the belt and will then hunt down WBC king Deontay Wilder.
Jiminez said: "We are waiting on the WBA and Joshua.
“Luis is ready to face Joshua but Joshua is avoiding the Cuban southpaw star like a deadly plague.
"The bottom line is Eddie Hearn and Joshua have both said that they are facing Pulev but nothing is confirmed and the WBA gave them 30 days and that ends on the September 3.
“That's five days away so if he doesn't want to face the big Cuban, the WBA should strip Joshua and give Luis the belt so he can face Wilder for a super clash of titans because these guys are both extremely dangerous with incredible power.
“If the WBA breaks their own rules and gives Joshua a pass, then we will have no choice but to face Wilder on November 4 so let's just wait these 6 days and wait on the WBA.
“Regardless, Luis will fight any of these two — in fact if it was up to Luis — he would fight them both this year and unlike Joshua and Wilder, he is confident in himself and he will unify all four belts by 2018.”

If the choice was A) Ortiz and drop the IBF, or B) Pulev and drop the WBA, Joshua was all in for Option B! They did NOT want that work!Comment

Ortiz knows he will never be a champion. His time is done he knows he cant do it all again, beat some contenders and then make a path to josh he has no more time on the clock left. So here he is desperately kicking and screaming hoping AJ will give him a paydayComment

I said he's a bum beater, not a bum.
Why Wilder, who's been a pro for 10 years and has had 40 fights, has fought only 1 legit opponent to date, a middle aged grandpa with a heart condition? And why Wilder fought him only after Ortiz signed with Haymon, over 2 years after he beat Jennings and called him out.
There lies the answer to your question.Comment

Excellent post! People keep talking about Joshua didn't fight Ortiz because "bad performances," "WBA suspension," but they forget how shook AJ and Hearn were:

"But at least Wilder put his money where his mouth is, stepped up and fought me. I’ve got zero respect for Joshua, who, at this point, is a complete punk hiding behind his puppeteer promoter [Eddie Hearn]."
