Like Ward did at Light Heavyweight. No reason to rush. Beat up the scrubs Bellew and Shyte.....

I agree with easing into division, but what you describe is not what Ward did. Ward fought 20-30 something ranked Paul Smith at a CW, Barrera, who was around 12-15th ranked at the time (dont remember), and then Brand, who was 40th ranked SMW. In general, Ward took his time with pretty easy competition to get acclimated to the division.

Both Whyte and Bellew at legit top10 contenders. They're tough fights for anyone.
