Loma vs. Pacquiao is a way bigger fight (financially) for Loma than a fight with Garcia or Beltran, especially with Pacquiao coming off a KO win! I would hope it would be @ 140, because I think Pac is too old to go all the way down to 135! However, Manny says he can do it! Loma would be foolish not to take that fight in December, even after surgery! You have to strike while the iron is hot!

Which Top Rank employees was Robert Garcia talking with --the cleaning crew? Whoever it was was telling Garcia what he wants to hear. A Lomachenko fight is a very competitive fight with the makings of a trilogy and the big bucks that come with that. The Spence fight is one and done, with Mikey maybe making it to the 10th round before the knockout.

Fact is, Garcia rather loses to Spence where he will get some credit even in losing than getting schooled by Loma where his career will get pretty much ruined. Quite pathetic if you ask me.

I don't know if this is 100% true. That said, I do know the primary reason IMO Bob has been so successful for almost 50 years is he listens to his matchmakers.

Goodman and Trampler are excellent at spotting flaws that make one fighter more likely to beat another. If they told Bob Mikey would beat Loma Bob wouldn't make the fight, especially if he thought Loma had the higher financial upside and had started down the superstar path.
