Mikey is very smart on establishing his legacy. He sees an opportunity to gain more fans because Connello is a drug cheat and if he loses to GGG his fans will jump off and start following Mikey. Also he knows he has a left that can compete with Spences left. Styles make fights. Anything can happen.

Part of this sport is about taking risks. Mikey had said back in his fight against Lipinets to get respect you gotta fight the best. That's what Mikey's doing. He's not listening to any of the negativity from social media especially his brother who's also doubting him. Scratch that. He's more like trying to protect him. as a Loma fan i really don't want this fight to happen. Lomas signature fight would be ruined after Spence beats up Garica

Problem is loma dares to do the same. Loma could fight pac or crawford at 140 but refuses due to the risk level of being beat. Say what u want about garcia but his heart is on a whole other level thwn lomas when it comes to fighting. Loma won't even fight a old pac at 140 let alone a crawford spence type.

But thats the problem. Garcia don't give a shttt about loma right now because he knows loma is just bullshtting. Loma fought linares. A Past it linares whos been knocked out left and right. Been in too many wars to count. Garcia fighting spence is like loma fighting crawford......their hearts are not the same. Lomas goal is to move up and fight as many linares types as possible. Also loma wants to retire as early as he can already talking about it.....Garcia truly wants to be great just getting on with it. They are no where near the same mind set.

It's a win-win for both guys as long as Mikey comes out of it without any permanent damage (yes, a sustained beating is a distinct possibility here).

Mikey is the more technically sound of the too, but make no mistake about Spence- he is as fundamental in what he does as Tim Duncan was in the NBA. He isn't flashy, he just does everything basic very, very well.

He will catch Mikey, put him down, and then put him out.

The only question here is how much of a beating Mikey will take.

If it wasn't for the size difference, this would be a pick em fight.

But, like Errol said, "they have weight classes for a reason" and THIS is one of them.

But, the money will be there.
The increase in profile for both fighters will be there.
Errol easily handling Mikey will bolster his P4P #1 argument
Mikey being courageous and great in defeat will actually bolster his P4P #1 argument.
