Lucas was never any good man lol Devon beat him before the Peterson luck lol

He's been a hype job for years imo. I've been saying it for a long time. Manny knew that was easy work. Lucas couldn't beat Manny at any point in his life.

Mikey is definitely the favorite against anybody at 140 or below right now.

If they thought Linares timing Loma was something, just imagine what they'll think when Mikey catches him lol Mikey is levels above Linares in IQ and power
I hear what you're saying but who would win Easter vs Linares?
I still want to see Loma Mikey while they have titles in the same weight class. If Mikey moves up to fight Spence I can't see him coming down to 135 again.

Saying that, I am always intrigued when a lower weight fighter jumps up to challenge. I was amazed when Canelo-Khan was made and then Brook-GGG. That didn't work out but at least they tried.

I also think it's pretty much always a no-lose proposition for the lower weight fighter as they can just say the weight was too much.

I respect this post. I agree with all your points.

I'm much younger than the average poster here, but I've studied this sport a lot and I have a great historical sense of things (I'm a lawyer so I read a lot). I think it's a tall task but I'm not naive to the fact that this is not unprecedented.

This guy is one of the greatest Mexican American fighters ever. If he wants to take a crack at history, I say let him try. He can go back down and play with the other guys at 140 and 135.

Btw, Linares v Easter is a good one. I'd favor Easter based on what I've seen from them, however Linares's activity gives me reservations about that opinion lol

Mikey Garcia was lunging in Easter wasn't making him pay.Easter can't fight going backwards the only thing Easter had to do was stay in center ring use the jab control distance when Mikey come in use the stiff arm step back create distance keep him on the outside.

I haven't seen the fight but Mikey doesn't look in as good shape as he was before he bloated up to 140

He's a great fighter but I wish someone in his camp knew up the minute about nutrition and strength conditioning , he should look more defined than that at his natural weight and maybe he's lost a bit of power ?

Some of the best conditioned boxers now are coming out of the Loughborough Uni program in UK where everything is v scientific and it ****ing works. But then eat healthy year round and strength train right, not eat **** like a happy Mexican lol

I like Mikey he's talented and has the physical tools, he has great support around him and his bro knows boxing but I wish they get someone to get him in his best shape
Likes of Errol spence doesnt look like that thru accident, it's only partly genes

He did have a high KO % and Before the fight that was not what they are saying.

If Manny can knock down bigger guys like Cotto, Mosley, Vargas, Algierie, Bradley, Rios and pulvurize Margarito and Clottey there is no way a little guy like Mikey can withstand his power.

Thank you. I agree with what you said about Garcia being levels above Linares. I've heard from guys sparring with Mikey saying that he is a Very hard puncher. His skill set over-all, combined with his ability to adjust and being smart in the ring will make the fight with Spence better than most think...until late in the fight. I saw a video of Mikey getting the best of Maidana in sparring, but that is sparring. Got to give him credit for wanting to challenge Spence.

                  I completely agree. He's a throwback fighter.

Instead of Spence, maybe Garcia should try to avenge his amateur loss to Crawford? Oops, uncle Bob wrench in the cog there too. Spence it is!

I would pay PPV price for that. I do think Mikey will be competitive for 6-8 rounds, before Spence breaks him down and breaks his nose and eye socket. Too big, too strong, too skilled, and southpaw to boot.
Loma will prove otherwise he lunges against Loma like he did against Easter and it will be a long night for him. As for putting him in there with Crawford why would Arum shy away from that fight? Would be big money and an easy night for Crawford

If Arum thought Loma would win he would be putting big offers out there.

Arum putting any cash in the pockets of Mikey is a long shot since their big falling out a couple of years ago. Crawford would win I am pretty sure, but with Mikey's skill set it isn't an easy fight for Crawford. Pros is much different than the amateurs. I believe Crawford beat him about 8-10 years ago.
