I also believe AJ should of fought Ortiz instead of Povetkin
He’d save whole lotta face that way
But wtv , this fight will happen when the next negotiations bullchit meetings and emails start over in public of course
The only way Big Al Haymon does business , that’s why we know him so well

This would be a 50/50 fight as long as AJ doesnt have the usual help from the ref.

Fighting someone as bad as that and 40 years old won't enhance your resume so I can see why.

Save face? By fighting a guy who has lost to Wilder is on heart pills and is over 40?

Povetkin has beat better opponents and is the bigger fight for AJ.

You're just making excuses. 40...38...real big difference there

And to make sure we're on the same page here, Ortiz is a whopping 6 months older than Povetkin

Your right , Povetkin does have the better resume
But , just like tonite and for the last four months what have you all been talking about is how AJ went twelve with Parker
So let’s see what Whyte is gonna do and then compare and big azz debate about but Joshua had a tummy ache and wtv
If he fought Ortiz then he and only he can make a comparison
Ffs the other day Froch gave his opinion, and stated it was his fughin opinion , I thought Trump had to modify those strict immigration policies
                    From hero too ........

A loss to Wilder and KO’ing Cojanu doesn’t exactly catapult Ortiz ahead of any other contenders for a Joshua fight does it.

Ortiz had a good chance of the Joshua fight a few years back, but stunk up the joint in successive fights against Dave Allen and Malik Scott. From there on in you have the drug issues, Wilder fight etc.

Doubt he’s even on the radar for Joshua, certainly be behind Wilder, Whyte, Pulev, Miller, Fury... by which point Joyce, Dubois and Usyk will be coming through and Ortiz will be 50 odd.

Ortiz world be better off targeting the Wilder rematch.
