It was refreshing to see Easter not make excuses.

Yes, he showed class and sportsmanship with no excuses at all.Easter fought a smart fight and used his assets to the fullest but Mikey was just too good for him.
can't think of the last time there was a post fight interview without excuses involved.
Much respect to Bunny. he actually fought tall this time so the trainer switch helped and his jab better than i thought. but Mikey simply outworked him.
became an Easter fan tonight cuz of how he handled his first L.Comment

True, most boxers have no excuses when they lose. Saying I could have done this and that could apply to the victor as well.Comment

He actually fought a lot smarter than expected. He better get used to fighting that way and improving even more.

He was controlling the distance, had he threw more combinations and follow up with the right it would have been a better fight.
That was just the only flaw I saw, Floyd uses his jabs to the body to follow up with his right cross. There were many times Mikey lowers both his gloves to cover his body when Easter jabs, but easter failed to capitalize and at least throw that right hand every time Mikey is defenseless in the head.
Sounds easier than done but that’s what you do next to your good jabs otherwise it’ll only be useful up to that point.
It’s interesting to think what Loma would have done if he was the one fighting.
Mikey dealt with it by slowly closing the gap, by jabbing as well, and by the timing the opennings. He outworked easter as well.Comment
