When something strengthens something, it doesn’t necessarily mean it weakens it at the same time. Takam was still ranked high overall in the HW division when he initially fought Joshua a few years ago. My point was an “impressive win” by Takam against a game opponent pushes him back up the rankings in the division and someone Wilder could potentially fight to have another strong opponent on his resume. I feel the same way about the Parker vs Whyte fight coming up. An impressive win by Parker kinda forces Wilder to fight him or another highly ranked opponent. Wilder needs a few more stronger opponents on his resume than he currently has.Comment
