Anyone who has to rematch a 6-5-3 fighter clearly is not the goods. Benn only has the name and nothing more.

I think the opposite. The talent just isn't there and i don't think it will be. I doubt he gets to British title level. Some fighters just haven't got it and Benn hasn't, no matter who his old man is.

With that said, that might be a bit harsh because he barely had any amateur experience and really is very raw, but i just don't see any real natural boxing ability.

Take Eubank Jr for an obvious comparison. Although he was also very raw coming through, you could see he had enough about him to make it to a decent level in the game. He would never have struggled with guys on Peynaud's level at any stage.

Benn is a Southern Area title level fighter at best but with a famous dad. If his dad wasn't Nigel Benn, he would just be another lower level fighter on the scene.

I've not watched the fight yet, but guys on here saying he's coming on along nicely don't really understand the levels in Boxing. There's a big, big difference in quality at world level, he shouldn't be finding it as tough at this level.
Without the amateur background, and having to learn on the job whilst under the spotlight, it's a ridiculous situation for a novice fighter to develop. He had a handful of amateur fights and made his pro debut at the O2 ffs. He's got Sky sports up his arse and following his every move - he gets far too much coverage for someone of his limited ability.
I've actually seen Hearn say in one of his earlier post fight interviews that he only signed Benn because of the name, but he's been on all of the big televised cards since he started.
He's just not that good, and imo there's a big question mark on how good he can get.
Eubank Jr was the same - people who don't understand amateur grounding thought he was a world beater, but I knew he's always come up short against quality opponents.

I just got the impression last night he didn't want to be in there something isnt right mentally imo its almost like he isnt sure he wants to be a boxer I like his honesty but after fights he always seems unsure of himself

I think he thought he was going to blast through these type of fight all the way to world level but has become unsure of his own ability now he has started to struggle

            He's very vulnerable.

He looks tiny at WW. Should go down to 140.

And he has no fundamentals. He's a knockout waiting to happen.

The way he started to have a bit of success then gloated with an Ali shuffle and fell over sort of says it all about Benn. Thinks he's a lot better than he is, he's done well to come from no boxing background and get this far but he's going to suffer a few bad KOs at domestic level if he keeps on fighting.

Conor will always beat this guy, but he's still abit of his boogeyman. The switch to southpaw at the start threw Conor off, that being said - he did adjust and got the W.

I think this is going to be a repeat performance of the Eubank scenario.

Guys like Nigel Benn are one of a kind, same with Eubank Snr.

While I respect their kid's for wanting to make a living from boxing, it is highly unlikely they will ever achieve anything like the success of the father's.

It's about hunger and sacrifice, neither Benn or Eubank Jnr ever had to experience that.

                      Conor Benn is s**t.

Any decently schooled AMATEUR, who’s boxed at say ABA’s, GB championships etc would either stand this kid on his head or knock him spark out.

The only people who rate him are Matchroom FC ******s, who just regurgitate all the same bias nonsense that clowns like Nelson, Bellew, Smith etc say.

“He’s only 21 and improving doe”
