Good interview. Hatton seems like a really nice guy who knows the sport and respects it. I would love to see Hatton fight versus Castillo or Chico at 140lbs or Cotto, Margarito, Zab, PBF at 147lbs.

But I'm so damn frustrated with his fight selection because you know he is only gonna stay for about 2-3 more years and he is picking Urkal as his next opponent? I say he should fight Castillo at the MEN Arena in Manchester. That way Castillo's possible suspension doesn't mean crap in England and they can fight.

BTW my favorite at these waits is Cotto.

yea that is a GREAT matchup. Thats what i love about Hatton. Hes always looking for the challenging fight, the one the fans are gonna want. (He had to fight collazo if he wanted to the title, so leave that fight out)

This would be yet another inside fight for castillo that has FOTY written all over it. I think Hatton would definetly KO Castillo. Every time corrales landed a good body shot u saw castillo cringe and take a step back. Hatton would be doing that to him all night.

Castillo KOed and KD corrales because chico had his chin sticking out most of the fight! Hatton has amazing head movement, so castillo isnt gonna get lucky and land a monster shot on hatton.

I think they both have an equal shot at winning this fight, but i think Hatton wins by late KO

Hatton already said last year that he won't stand toe-to-toe with Castillo, and that he'll out-box him instead. He sees Castillo as one-dimensional, while Ricky is about five-dimensional.
Uh, no. Hatton is not going to outbox Castillo. He will think he can, just like Corrales thought he could, but he will get into brawling once he realizes he cannot do it. Casamayor had a hell of a time trying to outbox Castillo...Hatton damn sure does not have the boxing skills of the slick southpaw El Cepillo.

This fight will be an inside fight one way or the other, and it will be dirty.

And...it will be close, very close.

I've seen footage of Hatton box the ears off the top Bulgarian (top three European) back in 1995, I know the level of the guys ability. I know what he is capable of, man.

What? Your telling me that a boxer can't fight at the MEN unless Frank OK's it? That sounds weird, its equivalent to Don King owning Madison Square Garden.
