If Mikey wants to take that same leap of faith, I can’t see the issue. He’s an elite level fighter who’s trying to test his ability in arguably the most dangerous and difficult way, and for that he should be applauded.

The issue is both guys have good fights to do in their respective divisions to prove that they're the best in their divisions. I like both fighters but hate this fight.

Spence is a big guy and he is expected to move up in weight and fight 154 -160 guys. before that happens, he should fight legit welterweights, not legit leightweights.

I'm on the majoriy who thinks Spence destroys Garcia.

Would I watch the fight? yes, would I be hyped? not very much.

I think Garcia is a P4P fighter but to my opinion there is a place where size disparity nullifies everything, I watched Garcia vs Easter weigh-in yesterday and Garcia was not ripped for the weigh-in, I mean Mikey is not only a lighweight but a small lightweight to my perception while Spence is not just a welter but a big welter who I think will be fighting at MW in a few years.

Mikey could be a more skilled guy than Spence but I just can't see him being effective, Spence will walk through those punches and will stop him bad.

Size matters.

Well if they're going forward with this, I'm all for it. I'm a fan of both fighters so I would watch the fight. I think Garcia would lose but the fight wouldn't be one sided. I can't imagine Mikey mounting enough offense to keep Spence from breaking him down.

I don't know if it was just style but Spence looked vastly better against Peterson than he did against Brook. Both of them are huge WWs and Spence broke them down. I can't see how little Mikey would do better than they did outside of boxing better.
