It was pretty cool chatting with him, he is such a super nice guy.. We talked about the barerra fight which was probably the most interesring topic to me, the hopkins fight, fonfara fight, bivol vs barerra fight, russell fight and last but not least, whats up next for him...

I wish he had so many more fans, he really is such a down to earth really super cool person.

I had to share it with all of you because i dont think anyone else would actually gaf lol.

That's nice and all but what did he actually say, you gotta give us something that stood out to you in your conversation. And did you just happen to bump into him or did you schedule some lunch meeting at "splish splash water park?"

Uhm no its not fake news... Yes i randomly saw him on line at johnny rockets and we have a lot of mutual friends.. we are from basically the same area . he trains at one of my good friends gym called unique fitness.. i also know some people in the boxing world that he knows.. i do not know him personally.. he was also a union laborer for local 66 which is more of a masonry union and he worked for my companies biggest client.. so we know a lot of the same people..

I basically just said whats up to him and congratulated him on his last fight and then we just started talking back and forth.. after talking about all the people we both know we both got our food and he said theres an empty table right there, and we sat down.

There were two things he said to me that really peaked my interest.. The first was, he told me he broke his jaw in sparring leading up to the barrera fight.. He went to the dr and the dr said he was fine.. this was actually the second time his jaw was broke so he knew something was wrong.. I asked him at what point in the fight did he feel his jaw break and thats when he told me about the sparring session.. He said the very first shot barerra connected with did his jaw in .. it was the first or second rnd he said.. so that was really interesting to me..

We were laughing because i said that was a nice shot that knocked barerra down and he said he was shocked barerra got up from it.. he thought the fight was over after he connected...

The second thing that peaked my interest was when we were talking about the hopkins fight...i kind of figured that it got under joes skin when hopkins said he would never lose to a white boy but to my surprise that had no effect on him at all... what got joe mad and under his skin was when hopkins was calling him a “common” man at one of their pressers.

As far as whats next, he told me that kovalev is a really good possibility towards the end of the year in NY.

You guys can believe me or not.. irdgaf. It was an awesome lunch and like i said, i really wish people would jump on his bandwagon.. There is not a nicer guy out there..

i left the lunch wondering if the barerra fight wouldve turned out different had he not fkd his jaw up again a week or so before the fight.

Id also love and really hope the kovalev fight happens. i would loveee to see Joe shock the world and ko kovalev!

I have to add... we talked a little about the upcoming fight between danny jacobs and sergiy devrychenko.. Joe thinks jacobs wins easy.. He told me he had sparred with them both and if u put a jab in sergiys face, he cant do anything. He said u cant let him get inside and he knows jacobs wont let him.
