I honestly believe we will see Spence-Mikey later this year. I believe Spence will win. And after that, I see Mikey going back down to 135, and after a couple of wins, we will hear talk of Loma-Mikey. If Loma ain't ready, then I'm all for Mikey fighting Spence. I don't think it is a smart career move, but if it happens it will make Mikey one of my favorite fighters.

Loma needs to talk to Arum though. I give Loma a 60-40 chance of beating Mikey if they do fight.
Is he really though? I mean Thurman has fought dangerous guys. Danny Garcia has fought dangerous guys. Shawn Porter has fought dangerous guys. Mikey really hasn't. This Easter fight is the first fight I've ever seen of his where his opponent even has a legit chance of winning. His big wins are a shop worn Lopez, a mentally broken Broner, and a tailor made Salido. I feel Salido is the best win of his career to this point, and that was forever ago. He hand picks easy fights. There are guys at 140 who I think would walk through Garcia, let alone 147.

One, Mikey is the favorite to beat Easter and two, he's using Spence's name but will cherry pick anther loser like Lipinets.

For the record, Mikey would be huge underdog against Regis Prograis at 140, he'll never, ever fight Spence at 147.

On top of that Arum has said

If [Garcia] wants to fight, let him call me and I'll give him a number. If he doesn't like the number - f*** it - I ain't negotiating!

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum has no intention of staging a long negotiation for a potential unification between newly crowned WBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachen

Yea, I get it though. Saying Mikey doesn't want to fight Loma, instead of the truth, fits your agenda. Loma has already said he won't fight Mikey this year, Arum is on record saying he won't even negotiate with Mikey, when you leave all that out and act like Mikey doesn't want the fight, it makes it sound like Loma wants the fight, but Mikey doesn't.

Loma is saying he wants Beltran next. Mikey is saying he wants Spence next. Mikey already won a title at 140, making him a 4 division champ. Loma has already said he will never fight above 135.

While Loma wants someone easy like Beltran, Mikey wants the best in Spence.

But go on, and make up excuses for Loma if it makes you feel better.
Bro I don’t know where you got Loma from but I am not reading that novel you just wrote

Bob called Robert Garcia right after the Linares fight making an offer. Robert Garcia even confirmed it to Ellie. Now since then a wrinkle got tossed in with Loma needing surgery, but after December it should be a go if Loma beats the Beltran/Pedraza winner.

Mikey is looking at this opportunity as a no-lose situation. But I'm not sure he's factoring in the damage he could take from this fight, win or lose. He may never be the same type of fighter. Spence has every advantage over Mikey. Mikey is the better boxer, but it's not like Spence can't box either. Plus he's 3 inches taller, has a 4 inch reach, and hits harder.
