  • Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn: Joseph Parker-Dillian Whyte Is a Real 50-50 Fight

Eddie Hearn obviously wants Dillian Whyte to beat Joseph Parker on Saturday night. Hearn's company, Matchroom Boxing, promotes Whyte and Hearn eventually wants to make a rematch between Whyte and Anthony Joshua. Whyte's promoter admits, though, that he could see the Parker-Whyte fight going either way at a sold-out O2 Arena in London.

well eddie isn't lying for once

    its a 50/50 fight...two b level guys....pretty good matchup

but this guy is crazy if he think hes putting either one of these guys in with AJ again ahead of a wilder fight

Anybody feel like Parker was told to just let Joshua win? I'm not saying Hearn explicitly told him to lose, but that CHAMPIONSHIP HEAVYWEIGHT UNIFICATION FIGHT looked like a really awkward sparring session. After the fight they could barely string together 3 or 4 landed punches for the highlight reel

I know the ref played a good role in making it awkward and boring, but Parker was smiling before and after the fight like he was just there to take pictures and give away his belt. Dunno... that's how I feel about it...

I still hope Parker sparks out Whyte.

Yeah it's 50/50 as to whether or not I go to bed or watch ****ing Rick & Morty.

Parker will run and this will only get interesting if Whyte is down on the cards going into the championship round and realizes he needs to go for it. With any lucky Whyte will fall over his giant tongue and Parker will have a heart attach performing the hakka.

I hope so as it should be entertaining. Looking forward to seeing how Ortiz does on the Porter, Garcia undercard.

Does that mean thete's no A side? Maybe Hearn i's talking about the pay, but I don't think so. Ruiz couldn't find Parker and he has faster hands than Whyte. AJ couldn't hurt Parker and he's a bigger robot than Whyte. The only thing that makes this close is the hometown edge and since Parker is hated for making AJ look bad, Whyte is already 3 points up.

i wouldnt totally discount it...but prob unlikely...id be smiling before and after, even if i lost, if i made that bread

what i think is more likely though is that hearn, since hes gotten parker another payday with whyte, has gotten in parkers promoters ear to have him say something about wilder and the money "stealing" comments

fury, lennox and parker and his trainer have all said not so flattering things about AJ.....so i think hearn said "you guys owe me a solid here...say something negative about wilder"...
