Seeing him vs Horn who’s also a big guy made me think Bud could fight some 54 guys. Maybe not Mungiia or Hurd type size...but he could def compete with many and be okay size wise.

He’s bigger and stronger than people realize til hes infront of them. Bud is an animal.[/QUOTE
    So he’s a weight bully

Not at 47. 35, I guess...if you feel the need, as an adult man, to call peole bullies in boxing.

People need to stop using that term it comes off...super effeminate. Anybody who cuts is technically trying to be a “weight bully.” by not fighting at their natural class.

Don’t hate the player hate the game. If you are making weight, then who cares how much you cut.

Yes, some people have an unusual ability to cut a LOT of weight and are much bigger..but that’s the sport.

Got a problem being outsized? Cut as much weight as the guy you’re b itching about and move down.

Liam was only 4 pounds off Munguia for example. An advantage, yes...but thats about an average “spread”.

Bud vs Gamboa was legitimately insane, but Bud made weight and Gamboa shoulda had a better team that looked out for him and never let him at 35...

I'd guess high 150's, low 160's. I think Spence more than likely weighs more in the ring.

It doesn't matter what I think. It matters what he's actually proved and all he's proved is that he looks great against B level fighters. Now he's got world class fighters in the division he's gone all shy.

Who has he not fought up to date? Cleaned out the 1-2-3 at 135 and the best at 130 coming up. Won every belt at 140 and has been at 147 for a month he could hardly have "gone shy". He's been talking about wanting to fight Spence. There's politics on both sides that make that slightly difficult to make next and you know it.

A weight bully is a guy that walks around at 180, but ask a guy that's 150 pounds soaking wet to drop to 140 rather than 147, facts...

When I saw his 140 run I saw a rock solid 160 pounder, he's a few pounds bigger at 147 and is starting to gain confidence in his size and power

180 and fighting at 50? That’s fairly normal. There’s guys who are probably closer to 200 than they are to 180 fighting at 54. Walk around weight is different as every boxer (but a few) cuts weight and walks around at a much higher weight.

I’m not saying that the size difference isnt a massive advantage with some guys. But if they both agree at a weight and both make said weight, than that’s boxing. The world is neither fair nor equal. There’s going to be small 147 guys like paulie Malignaggi who is small and coming up and guys like kell Brook and Spence who are big and going to end up moving up as well.

Hurd and Mungia are big examples and neither seems to be going around missing weight every time out. It’s natural and inevitable. No one just picks a weight class and stays there forever.

Theyre not having adverse effects (in general) and are competing at word level. Some guys have the willpower and abulity to lose that extra 1, 2, or 3 pounds easily and stay a division under.
