Comments Thread For: Bellew: I Truly Believe I Can KO Usyk - It Would Be My Last Fight

Has anyone ever come down from heavyweight and done well? Most fighters I know who tried to come down fell into pieces. This fight would have been good before Bellew went up but he wants all those belts so the temptation is real. They should just make this fight at heavyweight.

If he gets in the ring with Usyk whats not to love, more of that from other boxers please. Usyk not a big name , Bellew can sell seats he could easily get a better big pay day, Usyk gets to show what he can do , to a wider audience.

I’m British but you are on your own for this one. I can’t co-sign this. There is one winner and he isn’t a scouser.

Sounds like this fight will happen:
- Usyk not in a position to be diva yet on his cut as he's still establishing himself (above cruiser), so likely to accept anything reasonable
- good sign-off fight for Bellew as not someone likely to scramble his brains too much, and could make a fair bit of money
- weight seemingly not an issue as Usyk likely fine at any weight, and if anything, 200 is to his advantage if that's what Bellew wants
- a high profile fight in the UK does Usyk huge favours in setting up potential fights against other UK boxers (Whyte, Chisora, eventually Joshua/Fury once settles at the weight if he keeps winning)
(defn. high profile = widely advertised and marketed to UK boxing audience)

Good read and props to Bellew if he takes the fight at CW, he should really , he barely over 200lbs and all fat probably and he ducks too many top HWs.
I cant see Usyk being nearly flat footed enough to get set up by Bellew, also outlasting Usyk is fantasy, Usyk is much better conditioned.
I think it's unlikely he knocks out Usyk, Usyk on points or late stoppage then to fight Joshua imo after a warmup at heavyweight
