Comments Thread For: Parker: I'll KO Whyte Quicker Than Joshua Did, Make Statement

Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker is looking to make a statement on Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, where he faces top rated contender and hometown favorite Dillian Whyte. Parker is returning from suffering the first loss of his career, when he lost a twelve round unanimous decision at the hands of WBO, WBA, IBF, IBO world champion Anthony Joshua back in March in Cardiff.

Impressive if he does .. but unlikely given he has shown a punch in how many fights ? I suspect he'll box on the back foot and knick rounds, he's been relying on the judges a lot.

Parker and Barry already admitted they underestimated Joshua's boxing ability, they thought he was just like a Frank bruno that could brawl too, sounds like Kevin Barry is being dumb enough to underestimate Whyte too.
Whyte is not a ****** guy, he has improved technically since Joshua fight and he is cagey enough to have the unsuspecting equalizer punch on Parker.
Parker would probably win a majority of rounds but Whytes ability to set him up for something big should not be dismissed, I think Parker wins tho mid rounds

He fought with injured elbow and shoulder for last two years or so, now it's fixed so he feels he got his old snap and confidence back

I think Whyte will win on points. Because Parker is going to end up on his bike.

Whyte is a big guy with an impossibly small head

Can't see Parker KO'ing Whyte, he is not explosive enough and will be using his legs in this fight, so the punch is not there unless he plants himself. Whyte is more likely to get the KO as he sets himself and throws hooks mid range.

Parker will be the one moving and throwing the double and triple jab and Whyte will be trying to land bombs on him the whole fight. Should be fun to watch.

Dillian Whyte was out of shape for the AJ fight and has dramaticallly improved. I hope the judges do a good job. Don’t want Matchroom to rob JP.

Whyte is very overrated, even in a division severely short on talent.
