Comments Thread For: Sergey Kovalev: Stevenson is Scared of Alvarez - I'm Not Scared

By Thomas Gerbasi - Has it only been just a little over a year ago when it was all over for Sergey Kovalev? Hunched over against the ropes as referee Tony Weeks called off his rematch with Andre Ward in June 2017, one of the most feared men in boxing went from 30-0-1 against the world to 0-2 against Ward, and while we all knew he would fight again, it was likely never to be the same for the "Krusher." But here we are...

Why did this hack act like Ward legitimately beat Kovalev? Just another writer doing the corrupt boxing establishment's bidding rather than speaking the truth it looks like. An honest writer would at least mention that most fans and writers thought Kovalev won the first fight, and that the second fight was stopped on low blows, and that Kovalev disputes both losses. They would also mention that boxing and Las Vegas specifically has a history of corruption and house judges decisions. But this writer mentioned none of those things. Therefore, he seems like a hack. I don't mean that personally, I did not even look at the writers name so I don't know them personally at all, but based on those clear, su****ious omissions from the article, any fair-minded person would have to suspect that he's a hack.

Yeah Stevenson wanted none of Alvarez. Sad as heck Alvarez had to wait all this time and his first crack at the title is finally coming from Kovalev not from the guy he has been the mandatory for

Both these chickens ( Kovalev & Alvarez ) didn't want none of Adonis 'Superman' Stevenson : FACT Eleider Alvarez never called for a purse-bid whilst being the mandatory challenger for Stevenson's WBC LHW title, instead Alvarez voluntarily took on other Canadians in Bute and Pascal risking his mandatory spot in the process ; FACT Eleider ducked Oleksandr Gvozdyk but Adonis will fight the man that Kovalev and Alvarez fear.

FACT, Mainevents/Duva ran from the purse-bid that they begged for also being the mandatory to Stevenson. The evidence is clear, Kovalev and Alvarez ducked Adonis.

FACT, Adonis fought a young-prime Badou Jack, battered him silly and is still tha champ! but Kovalev is washed and Eleider seen it and took the easier route to a world-title.

The facts he beat him twice not once and stopped him say what you want but it’s in the history books the Krusher was exposed and now back to fighting lower top ten fighters and mismatch mandatory fights imagine the number 1 contender Yarde does not want the fight champion is a fake and so are the contenders

Yeah I'd have to agree, but it could just be something simple like he had a rough day at work or whatever. I myself do a lot of writing, and frequently go back and realize omissions, misspellings etc. It happens. But yeah, all your points are valid.
