Yeah, it has to be. It was just a bad matchup, game plan, and everything else you can think of.Originally posted by FightFan2005just watched this fight again,, and i know gatti was nowhere near having a chance,,,, but holy **** pbv was slick that nite. It sucks that Floyd went up right after that because he was perfect at that weight and I wouldve loved to see him and Hatton there. It wont be the same if they fight at 147 -
have to agree,,,
just watched it AGAIN,, and what was gatti thinking. You have to acknowledge his plan to slow pbf down by chopping at the body-- the poor bastard just couldnt get close enough. It just looked like gatti was thrown to the lions with his pockets full o steaks and sausages drped over his neck!
pbf hatton at 140 would be EPIC!Comment

This is when Floyd was the scariest -- right after that fight.
Hatton and Cotto ran as far as they could after witnessing that ******ation of Gatti.Last edited by deliveryman; 06-24-2006, 07:53 PM.Comment

He thought he had a chance...until the end of the 1st round. No doubt people were telling him leading up to the bout in training that he would easily KO Floyd if he could just land a punch on him or the body work would really work out. Gatti no doubt believed in this and it's what kept him mentally in the fight until fight night. Though after the 1st round and each round after, Gatti knew he was so ****ed beyond all helping.Originally posted by LOTTDOG 13Gatti never had a chance. And deep down, I think he knew it

yeah gatti has a ****in pair on him when buddy said he was stopping it he could barely breath and he was still askin to go another roundOriginally posted by BonafideWatching Gatti take all those shots was almost sickening. This by far was one of Floyds most one sided beatings he has given an opponent. Props to Arturo for never quitting.Comment
