Usyk just took over early and kept the pace, I don't think anything less of Gassiev, I just know a boxer?mover witha good jab is his kryptonite.
That jab..while it may not look much, it's just enough to sting and discourage attacks. It's textbook stuff that Gassiev ignores.

I always pay close attention if the shots are landing or not and I think Gassiev is often penalysed by the boxing fans for blocking shots instead of using the head movement, kind of like Golovkin (except that Golovkin is sometimes also evading shots by controlling the distance and subtle headmovement). I thought Usyk took around off in the 3rd.

Also my first criterium for scoring the fight is the number of landed shots and body shots don't usually look as exciting as headshots, but I always count them.
Second one could either be really hard shots that landed or activity or pressure, I don't know how to explain it better.
Looking sweet without landing anything does nothing for me, except if almost everything else is equal.

Anyways I gave Gassiev only 1 round, had 1 or 2 equal rounds and the rest went to Usyk who definitely outclassed him.
I agree about punches landed, but Gassiev had a total of 3 left hooks landed to the body in that round.... nothing else? I've watched it again. Usyk actually landed more jabs that clearly went through the guard, you can see Gassiev's head going back.

Usyk dominated with the jab, dominated the ring and made Gassiev fall short with 4 left hooks, missing badly. He also outlanded Gassiev in that round.

Not knocking or anything, Gassiev did land 3 punches to the body, but Usyk was tucked up at the time, not effective at all IMO, and Usyk bossed the round and landed the jab more.... just different perspectives.

Agreed, the jab is keeping Gassiev off rhythm, couple that with the movement and distance control.... I lost count of how many left hooks fell short from Gassiev. This is top level stuff that only supreme athletes can pull off.

Usyk is just an amazing boxer. Great speed and stamina...excellent movement and defense. He boxes like a talented welterweight at 200 lbs. I'd love to see him move up to heavyweight. Nothing left for him to do at cruiserweight now.

Usyk jabbed Gassiev to death. The problem is, someone like Gassiev will always be too robotic, solid fundamentals and good enough power to beat both guys but Usyk is that slight bit better than just good. Convincing win if boring.
