Oh, I see it like this.... Boxers are proud individuals, Ortiz just got knocked out by Wilder if he said that Joshua can beat Wilder then technically he is admitting Joshua can beat him. Similar to Breazeale saying Joshua will wash Wilder.

We both know styles make fights and that triangle theories don't apply in boxing. So no, Ortiz saying Wilder would win isn't founded in him not wanting to say Joshua can beat him. What I would say is that Ortiz that any man who gets in the squared circle has earned the right to talk regardless of the fight result.

I’m not a AJ lover I support him but if I see any flaws in his game against Povetkin my money goes on Wilder vs Joshua. I bet heavy fight night and all I care about is making my so if I bet on Wilder you better believe I will support him fight night. However he is vulnerable and Joshua takes him out. He has powerbut in one hand and he is very athletic but if one has any brains you nullify his strengths. Ortiz done it wonderfully but didn’t have the size the length and the stamina to sustain it

Because it is an AJ-Wilder fight, I can see PPV between 1.5 - 2 million, probably closer to the upper end. That only happens because it is Wilder. Further, there will be PPV in the US as well due to the fight being a unification (provided both guys don't lose before then). The PPV in the US is also mainly due to Wilder.

To AJ's credit, the gate in UK is all due to AJ. No debate about that but to get the right amount of PPV, he needs Wilder. That's why he deserves 40%. Then add in the fact that Wilder is the longer reigning champion, the most prestigious belt, that takes Wilder up as well. For the fight in the UK, I can see the total UK and US revenue between $75 - $90 million. Here is my breakdown:

If AJ-Wlad grossed up to $53 million without US PPV and all 4 belts on the line, then adding in another 20 million for US ppv (about 300,000 ppv - conserative by the way) + sponsorship and TV rights globally (say another $10 mil), we are already around $80+ mil. Why then should Wilder receive only $15 mil of the purse?

I respect your opinion because at least you are trying to justify your thoughts. Yes anything between 300 -500 is what we are looking at with US PPV considering Wilder has never been on that platform and we are just speculating.
