Comments Thread For: Prograis-Flanagan, Taylor-Martin Set For WBSS Quarterfinals

Regis Progais picked Terry Flanagan as his opponent Friday for the World Boxing Super Series' 140-pound tournament. The top-seeded Prograis picked the unseeded Flanagan as part of the WBSS "Draft Gala" at Rossiya Theatre in Moscow. Once Prograis chose Flanagan, second-seeded Josh Taylor (13-0, 11 KOs) was left to select unseeded Ryan Martin (22-0, 12 KOs) as the Scottish southpaw's opponent in the quarterfinals because the remaining two quarterfinals were predetermined.

Martin gets badly outclassed and stopped, Flanagan gets his head dumped into the bayou

Good luck to Josh & Terry.

Prograis v Taylor final for me though.

If I had to pick a first round upset (which I don't think is likely) Yigit might be able to out-box Baranchyk to a decision

              Terry Flanagan

Why not cut this BS and just make Prograis vs. Taylor? #1 vs #2?? We all know its what everyone deep down wants.

Yeah this sounds about right. But Martin may surprise a bit. He's a bit of a live dog IMO.

Flanagan has gone from the longest unbeaten run in British boxing to being cannon fodder in 2 fights. Good luck to him though. He isn’t terrible and I think he could have beaten Hooker if he didn’t get cut so many times.

The winner of this tournament will have Ramirez and Hooker running for the hills.

Hooker will be fighting cans on DAZN for the foreseeable future anyway (in true Eddie Hearn fashion)

We already know Ramirez wants nothing to do with Regis.

S/o to Prograis and Taylor. One of them is on the way to stardom. I wouldn't mind an upset though lol makes things interesting
