better than shelling out x or Y per month and being locked into a cable contract
That doesn't sound like a good business model for DAZN, letting people watch content for free during a trial, only to cancel before they're charged. Especially if people do that on a regular basis.

I think they're confident that their content will keep people paying the 9.99 a month. its only the same thing Arum told ESPN+ subs to do for the Crawford fight..

they arent going to have dark-time on that app where its offline, they'll have continuous content. who knows... only you can choose..but considering how intent they are on conquering the market they seem to want to give value for money anyway.

we'll just have to wait and see for you guys in the states, it doesnt bother me, im a Sky customer in the UK.

If the apps are able to show top fights, I would be interested. If I have to juggle between networks and apps, maybe not so much. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Will the apps be able to wrest the top fighters from the networks, or will there be a split, is the question.

Showtime and ESPN have been pulling ahead of the pack. Time will tell if ESPN continues to schedule compelling match ups. Showtime has been 50/50 between good fights and mismatches. HBO seems to have given up on boxing, shot themselves in the foot when they turned their back on Top Rank.

You only get the free trial once. The idea is that you won't cancel because they will have regular stuff you will want to watch

People think these are completely new but they have broken into other countries from scratch with exact same strategy. The only difference is the USA launch is based on combat only sport at the moment , although the CEO did indicate other sports were coming shortly but didn't talk about what.

That makes more sense. Even so, subscribing/unsubscribing with the tide of fights seems a bit tedious.

Showtime is already in the lead, but looking at the upcoming schedule Showtime still might take when the year is over.

ESPN mas most of the top fighters, while Showtime has most of the top fights. Everyone else is just in last place.
