Comments Thread For: Hearn: Greatest Thing To Happen To U.S. Boxing in a Long Time!

DAZN, an on-demand sports streaming service, today announced the details of its expansion into the U.S. This follows parent company Perform Group's joint venture with Matchroom Boxing, one of the world's leading boxing promoters, and a nine-figure multiyear global distribution agreement with Bellator MMA.

Hearn is going to be disappointed when he sees the low number of subscriptions in the US.

Hearn made Wilder a star. He didn't have that big a following until Hearn turned down 50 million dollars. That put Wilder on the map. Hearn went into reverse so fast, he's blowing smoke and stripping gears. When this guy says you're going to love it, you won't. Wait forever while he bleeds his victims dry. A slow nickel into infinity is better than a quick 50 mil to him.

"In my opinion, this is the greatest thing to happen to boxing in America in a long, long time,"

I for one am glad to know that. Without this bit of insight, I would have been clueless and would have been embarrassed the next time someone asks me, what the greatest thing that happened to the sport of boxing is. Like a dummy, I would have said something ******, like the Muhammad Ali v Frazier fight of the century fights or the four kings fighting each other, or something else that pales in comparison to what Hearn is talking about.

If Wilder and Joshua don't fight before 2020 ,screw both of them.
Sneaky dude. Lied to Ortiz to get him to sign promising him a Joshua fight, same Promise more than likely made to Miller. Signed Khan yet is letting Khan dictate his terms to Kell telling him where he'll fight.
I'ma keep it a buck any DAZN fight I see I'll make sure I hit up some streams instead of give them views ore revenue(allegedly)

This guy is low key disrespectful. Stay in the UK we don’t need you in America. They get they first big star in the UK now they’re acting like they’ve been running boxing since the beginning of time. He talks a lot of nonsense also, would love to see Wilder smack the **** out of the coward.

“We launched DAZN to disrupt the status quo and change the way the world sees sports,” said James Rushton, DAZN CEO. “When you get DAZN, you’ll get all the fights; we won’t stash our best matchups for PPV, linear TV or a higher-tier package. And you’re going to get the entire card live, no matter the time zone and without constraints for one affordable price

No fight aligned to DAZN is PPV worthy in the US. IN the UK, Hearn puts on **** fights on PPV, so they could suck up to them with those comments. There's only 1 PPV fighter in the US and that Canelo and maybe GGG, depending who he fights. If anyone associated with DAZN get a fight with Canelo, they'll be fighting on HBO PPV in the US and the rights to the fight in other countries will be sold to DAZN. There was no huge news today about DAZN, nothing was mind blowing to say its the best thing to happen to boxing in the US.
