the way manny is talking here, it seems like he pretty much trained himself. buboy is there to assist, but it feels like pac is the one in charge of what to work on in training, etc.

if this is the case, i would like to see manny with a more reputable trainer. manny's offense is still at 50-60% but his defense is kinda lacking. if he gets with a trainer that will work on his defense and tighten it up, pac can will be a threat in the ww against the top guys. they dont have to change up his style, just tighten his defense up.


in this fight with lucas, you can tell he's been working on defense. his guards was up every time lucas would throw a punch but i think this has more to do with fortune as seen in the fight, fortune kept reminding manny to keep his hands up. pac needs to get with a trainer like that. i have never heard roach tell manny to keep his guards up ever.

No knock on pac credit to him, but I find it strange a near 70 fight veteran needs a trainer to remind him to keep up his hands. Surely thats instinctual for pac at this time of his career. If he had 7 fights under his belt I'd understand.

Justine Fortune actually sounded WAY TOO defensive oriented in between rounds.
Pac was kicking LM's ahs easily.
Pac does not keep his hands up due to his style.
He just does not .
He even drops his left when he jabs ( bow and arrow habit ).

Totoy Neri, the other fat dude in the corner, told Pac LM is not a counter puncher so Pac should go first . Which is opposite of what Buboy said before the fight .
Mathysse cannot fight going backwards. He was just horrible. After Pac tagged him in the first round, he put up his ear muff defense. He was meat after that. Pac could see his punches easily.

I don't think Pac is ever going to call Freddie again. He'd hurt Buboy's feelings .

i think that's good on fortune's part. to remind pac not get careless. from rounds 2-6, fortune reminded pac to keep his hands up, lucas is still dangerous. had that been roach, he would have sent pac in for the kill over confidence and might get clipped lol.

joel seems to show manny a lot of respect. asked pac to sign his guitar before the fight and even cracked up smiling when pac started playing joel's guitar before pac signed it.

then after the fight when manny went to give lucas a hug, pac also gave joel a hug then he hugged all of team's lucas then pac came back and hugged joel again! lol..

joel and manny might click well together because joel is kinda old school mexican with that cowboy trait and pac's a cowboy himself but imo joel is kind limited as a trainer. he's not on the level as robert garcia.

Man I seriously hope Manny hooks up with Joel that would be a good combo for sure.

Almost everyone drops their other opposing hand slightly when they jab lol

Unless Pac drops his left hand all the way down, most fighters will drop it slightly, the key is to put it back up in time for the return fire and Pac did that he kept his left hand glued to his face when Lucas would try to sneak the overhand right.

The Roach Pacman team has been successful in the past it's sad not to see them team up again, they must have a close friendship obviously. I think in boxing like any relationship trainers get complacent and I think Manny suffered over the last few years for it.

The irony is Freddie just said Pac and him go way back that if Pac calls him for a fight for free he will do it. He has a lot of money already that it's fine. So why say that Pac owes you money to the public Freddy, and embarrass Pac when, if it's not important to you? And when it was actually Arum who was the one who was late paying Pac. And Now that your an outcast, you sing a different tune saying friendship is more important than money? Jeez! You are one insensitive tackles Roach.
