My money wasn't on him only because no testing was involved. I picked him to win by KO because there was no VADA or USADA testing for the fight. Had there been, I'd have picked him by UD.

Not shane or JMM. Hatton was equal. He did destroy ODH, but he was a drained 147, not 154 when he fought Floyd. He beat cotto better but cotto was 145, not the full 154 he was for Floyd.

He beat Morales after Raheem destroyed him. He lost to Morales before Raheem beat Morales.

Do you downgrade floyd for beating inferior versions of ssm and cotto? They beat prime versions of each other. I bet just about everyone floyd beat, someone beat a better version. I know jmm beat a better version of Pac than floyd did. PAC didn't have a bad shoulder against jmm. I know Pac beat a better version of jmm than floyd did.
Add to the fact floyd didn't fight the morales and Barrera of this world or Bradley's to show he can beat the people Pac did.

Lets face it, Manny fans arent any different from anyone else on this site.

I don't think understand Pacquiao's (Filipino) fanbase. They derive a huge part of their self esteem from this man.

It's as if an insult to Manny is an insult to their country and their national manhood. And Filipinos in general get very hurt when you don't like something from their culture.

They have very fragile egos and can't take any form or criticism or negativity about their country, and this goes for Manny as well. They're a very unique fanbase, and not in a good way.

To summarize all the arguments I've seen on this forum, Pacquiao's win was because:-

"He was on every PED going"

"Matthyse was hopelessly old and washed up"

"....and in any case, the fight was fixed and he took a dive"

Tell me if I missed anything.

That's.... a lot of hate for a guy just to win a match he was favorite to win.

And I can't help but think this is all basically just because Pacquiao was a rival for Mayweather's #1 p4p spot for a while, and because of that he is going to be hated forever by a certain fanbase section.
