Top Stank can make PAC VS CRAWFORD quickly at the drop of a pen. Let's see if ARUM makes it happen.Comment

Horn looked very bad against Crawford ... and everyone but Horn knows that Pac won that fight ... well if in Australia they give him 50 million because I could think about it ... but why to avenge an unfair defeat? Better Thurman, there he will seal his legacy for, win or lose ...!Comment

Because the stated purses aren't usually the only money received by the fighters. So there is usually an audit before the tax liability is established.
There's a lot of money coming from multiple sources in boxing. Making matters worse, it all comes at varying times. So it's tough to pin down.
I think you should do some homework on fighter advances. I think the "tax" issues will make more sense to you then.
Is there a legal way for them to defend themselves from their promoters, who seem to be the ones always stealing from them?Comment

So a lot of the time they're fighting out of a financial hole. Sad to say but they usually owe their promoters a lot of money. Not exactly an illegal arrangement.
If a guy gives you 100k to live, he has a right to be repaid for that money.
It's a very dark business.Last edited by Butch.McRae; 07-15-2018, 01:31 PM.Comment

I hate to tell you but 90% of the time these guys have taken big advances from their promoters before the fight ever happens.

Manny has, time and time again, chased the short, easy money and has only himself to blame for that. He should have left Arum and done his own thing a decade ago, just like Oscar and Mayweather, and Cotto did.Comment

This fight was promoted by Pac and $$$ deadlines were missed multiple times. Enough that it didnt get a network until recently and Matty had to wait.Comment
