thurman is not coming back there aren't even any rumors of him coming back like who is he fighting what date ect its a joke! thurman had to give up the wbc belt due to inactivity. time for that joke of an orginazation called the wba to do the right thing. Strip keith and make PAC the super champion and get rid of the multiple belts!

Lets see what happens Tuesday, he got stripped of Haymons WBC belt, still has Hearn's WBA belt though -
Well.. he hasnt got two belts and he hasnt defended it x amount of times and he hasnt defended enough to force the internal unificiation.
They should do away with it for that division until one or more of the above criteria is met, or simply promote him .. make thurman champion in recess to fight when he comes back and get rid of the regular belt .
The WBA are a ****ing joke.. greedy mother****ers and liars for saying they were gonna get rid of the influx of belts but they love them sanctioning fees.
WBC love making up belts but at least theyre one-time things to promote a certain event or date of significance.Comment

That's the thing. We all like to **** on the WBC and Mauricio (and rightfully so) for making special occasion belts, but at the end of the day, they don't get defended. They're just special event trophies basically.
The WBA meanwhile has 3 Cruiserweight champions right now, and no Super champion.
WBA Regular Champion - Murat Gassiev
WBA Champion in Recess - Denis Lebedev
WBA Interim Champion - Arsen Goulamirian
In what world does this make sense? Why do they even have a Champion in Recess and Interim Champion? Gassiev isn't injured, he's just in a tournament...so instead of upgrading him, they just give belts to two other guys?Comment

And whats gonna happen after the final of WBSS.. by their own rulers gassiev should be a super champion as he holds more than one belt. So once he or usyk wins.. they'll be super. they'll promote interim to regular or have Arsen fight the #1 for the regular belt.. and then bet your ass they'll sanction #2 and #3 for an interim title afterwards.

He said he'll fight Crawford in the Post fight presser ..i doubt he'd fight spence.
In all honesty.. Spence best hope someone steps up with some bollocks and unifies with him otherwise he can look forward to a couple years of fighting the IBF bums below him before he gets too big for the weight and moves up to super WW which again isnt the hottest division right now.
Shame really.. but until porter / Swift winner steps up or crawford lets bob let him fight then spence's opponents are going to be far below the level we know he can fight at.Comment

I believe they changed their rules for the Super(again) AFAIK currently the only requirement is that you defend 5 times.... although as we have seen they freely ignore this as they see fit. Nowhere in the revised rules from Sofia does it state that the Super championship can be earned by unifying although this was of course the original purpose of the super title. Interestingly there is now a special 'unified' title awarded by the WBA to go alongside the 3 or 4 other world titles they offer, although it seems to attract very little attention.Comment

Emeritus status.. he can come back and fight for the belt whenever he wants.
Best believe he's never stepping in the ring with Usyk or Gassiev though.
Not enough money for him and he knows he would get his head stoved in.
Bellew either fights Ward, Stevenson at CW or retires. The Fury fights never gonna happen for him.Comment
