Mathysse was gun shy after the first round . All he did was cover up after that .
It's tough when you see openings and you can't pull the trigger anymore.

It might be because Pac made him think twice before attempting to land, same as how Pac made Clottey too overly defensive. It's those stings that land will make you second guess if you should guard or be the aggressor. Pac certainly made him feel the bite. That's in Lucas head all night.

Matthysse hasn't been the same since Danny Garcia took his soul. I don't think anyone seriously thought he would win. Good win for Pacquiao... it is what it is. Hopefully he doesn't get carried away and try to take on a real killer.

On another note. It's unbelievable Pacquiao didn't call Freddy when his mother died. I hope that's not true because that would make him a real a$$h0le.

Imo , Manny did what he was supposed to do
He looked great but then again against the slow and stationary as fugh Lucas
I think Arum Is done in Manny’s books
Don’t see him taking a fight with Bud or Spence
I would rather see him against Garcia or Porter even fughnut Khan

Manny did look great for his age, but as others have mentioned something was fishy about this fight. Matthyse wasn't just cagey, he was afraid or unwilling to throw any shots with real power behind them, noticed that off the bat when he landed solid shots on Manny but with the force of a baby deer. Then when he took a knee after Pacquiao hit him lightly on the temple I knew it was a fix. Everything about this fight screams fix.

Because Lucas started getting hit hard with counters pretty much 20 seconds into the fight. That's how it goes. Manny still has it. Haters just need to admit it and hope Manny gets in there again this year with a live dog. Personally, aside from the 3rd JMM and FMJ fights, I've never seen Manny in a boring fight.
