Comments Thread For: Prograis: Me and Baranchyk Will Reach WBSS Final, Not Taylor

Regis Prograis was ranked number two by the WBC last year when Terrence Crawford vacated all four 140-pound belts to move up to welterweight. The logical step was for Prograis to fight for the vacant belt against number 1 contender Jose Ramirez. But the sanctioning body inexplicably decreed that Ramirez would fight third-ranked Amir Imam for the belt and Prograis would be matched against fourth-ranked Victor Postol for the interim belt making him the mandatory challenger for the belt.

You got to be a complete idiot to fight a hometown fighter in Scotland.

Unlike Postol, Rougarou can get Taylor outta there but I doubt it would happen in Scotland anyways!

He's a smart guy. After reading that he's 29, I get why he's talking this way. That clock is ticking.

Signing up for the WBSS was a wise decision. I'll be watching him tonight to get a fair take on his chances.

I sure wish Mikey Garcia was part of this tournament! If he is serious about 147, this tournament would be a good route to take! I just can't see Mikey going from 135 to 147 vs. Spence Jr.! I think Mikey vs. WBSS Winner makes more sense!

Prograis vs. Baranchyk. What's your take, just going off of what you've already seen?
