Robert Garcia on Extreme Weight Cutting

Some of the people in the comments made good points. Rios and Mikey ****** down in weight classes they should never have been in. Rios looked like a sick zombie at 135 even at 140. Mikey was puking his guts out to make 130

You would be hard pressed to argue otherwise.

I openly admit I was never much of a fan of Hopkins or Floyd for that matter but say what you may about these athletes but they stayed in shape year round with or without a fight lined up.

This is a sign of a true professional who appreciates their craft.

Mikey was making 126. Very big for a featherweight.

          Very good and logical advice.
Its never healthy to loose 30 pnds before a fight.
It will just deplete your energy and you become weak.
