  • Comments Thread For: Vic Saludar Drops, Decisions Yamanaka, Captures WBO Title

Ryuya Yamanaka was unable to retain his WBO minimumweight title on Friday night, relinquishing the crown to Filipino challenger Vic Saludar in a unanimous decision. Yamanaka (16-3, five knockouts) started his second title defense at Kobe's Central Gym strongly and appeared to get the better of Saludar (18-3, 10 KOs) in the early rounds.

The Filos are taking over this year.

All we need is that 7ft guy from the national basketball team who was throwing down on the aussie to make the transition.

GIFS: Vic Saludar vs. Ryuya Yamanaka - Round 7 knockdown

Basically Vic Saludar dominated Yamanaka. A proper upset in the lighterweights once again, we just had Cristofer Rosales over Daigo Higa now Vic Saludar over Ryuya Yamanaka ; lets keep it going into the 118 WBSS tournament!

I just hope Donnie Nietes does not sleep on Aston Palicte or Rosales on Barnes, nobody is safe!

He did dropped and outpoint Kosei Tanaka. It was unfortunate he lost that night by one body shot. Dude has skills for sure.
