Spot on analysis! Manny coming down to 140 @ 40 (he turns 40 in December) is not the threat he would've been @ 140, 5 years ago!

This is where Crawford fans who have been asking for the fight, suddenly do a u turn and mock him as an opponent for lomachenko.

Think about the optics. Manny hasn’t fought at Jww in years. He wins a “regular” ww title and then fights a cw with a lw champ rather than fight another ww champ, even though both are promoted by top rank.

          Sadly this is true.

However, I think he's not fresh enough to care all that much about the competitive aspects of the fight, but he's the name to beat in the sport for possible stardom, so a fight with him makes sense no matter who you are lol

Btw, all those Crawford supporters need to let it go. Manny has said time and time again that he's not fighting Crawford.

Crawford knew he wasn't getting the fight. He made the choice to stay there despite the lack of names for him. He'll have to deal with that.

If Loma gets the fight and wins, then so be it. Bob doesn't care. He just needs one of them to get that fight, and the recent promotional decisions show they've been trying to market Loma better than Bud.

The writing has been on the wall for a while.

Loma's next two opponents could be Manny and Beltran.

While Bud's will be Benavidez and that "mean machine" guy lol

I could be wrong, but I have never read or heard Manny say he wouldn't fight Crawford. I have heard Arum and Roach say it though.

IF both Manny and Mikey Garcia both win, I would like to see Loma vs MG and Manny vs Crawford. Both on the same card as co-features. What a PPV that would be.

BTW, for those of you that don't know, a catch weight is when fighters both agree to fight at a weight they don't normally fight at. Pac vs Loma at 140 would technically be a catch weight. The same as when Manny fought DLH at 147.
