What evidence do you have that Manny is broke? Why would Floyd come back fight a guy he beat decisively? There is 0 demand for a rematch, it makes no sense.

He had to get rid of Freddie Roach to save money. He can't fight in the US because he can't afford to pay his IRS bill. It's well known in boxing that Manny is broke. If you're a Manny fan and this reality upsets you in some way, feel free to disregard what I'm saying. Not looking to hurt anybody's feelings.

Why does anybody fight? $. Will be very tempting for Floyd if Manny is WBA super champion and willing to sign to Mayweather Promotions so Floyd can control everything without any involvement from Arum.

It's the most successful fight in history. Floyd still makes over $100 million even if the rematch only does a fraction of what the first fight did.

The public wants to see Floyd lose. That's always been what's generated the money for him. If he's been out of the ring two years and Manny is reigning world champion, and the perception is that Floyd will finally lose, people will buy.

Champion emeritus? Yeah one of the WBC gems... the WBA can always use that too.

The WBA has "champion in recess." A little different than the WBC's champion emeritus, but similar.

If Manny signs with Floyd, Thurman will definitely be named champion in recess. Could happen regardless. Lots of moving parts right now.

A champion who is inactive for so long should give up his titles. He has brought it on himself and any stripping now would be warranted tbh.

When this happens, then Bummed can fight the tomato can Matthysse for another paper title. TR will not allow Bummed to fight anyone good, and it is hard to justify fighting tomato can after tomato can for an entire career. But if Daddy Arum pays for some stooge to get a belt, then Bummed is fighting for a belt. He has won titles against Dulorme, Postol, Indongo, and Horn. Its the same old, same old. Arum has said its either Matthysse or some bum ranked lower than Ocampo that is next for Bummed. Bummed himself has said he won't fight Spence for quite a while. Arum has said the same thing. While Spence is trying to fight the best, Bummed is trying to find a way to make fighting another bum seem like a credible opponent for a top p4p fighter.
You are an idiot. You BUM.

Doncha just love the WBA, man...

                    C. CHAMPIONSHIPS
                    .
                    1. Belts. The Association shall adopt a World Championship Belt as a distinctive symbol for the Champion in each recognized weight category. These belts shall be awarded to the champion recognized by the Association.

                    2. Super Belts. Similarly the Association will grant Super Belts to those champions that make 5 or 10 (if it was the case) successful defenses of his title. These Super Belts will be named after those champions that have been able to defend their title 5 or 10 times. See Appendix C for a listing of boxers who are qualified for a Super Belt.
Although I'm not sure why I bothered since the WBA have demonstrated over and over that they don't give a damn about even appearing to follow their own rules.
