Mickey-Mouse Garcia has been exposed to be a quitter when the going gets tough -- I remember how he 'won' his first fight vs. Salidoe : Mickey was doing great early on but when the tide turned he wanted out ASAP! If it wasn't for the doctor who knows what would of happened, all I know is that Salidoe never got his rematch.
So I say Robert should just go all out, like vs. Comney and hope for the best...One thing is for sure Robert Easter better not count on a rematch ; Mickey will jump up back to 140 and fight Maurice Hooker or something like that.
Robert fights like your sugesting hes getting KTFO. TERRIBLE plan for a much taller fighter with a HUGE almost 10" reach advantage.
Scrawny 6' tall long armed fighter bull rushes the much smaller with GREAT angles and foot work with some serious fire power??? Good Luck with that!
The ONLY plan Easter should have is fight tall and stick that long jab out and everytime Mikey gets past it wrap him up and lean all his weight on him until ref breaks it up. Rinse and repeat. Most of all make sure that jab is CONSTANTLY out there hitting Mikey everytime he tries to rush in.Comment

All I'm reading from Easter is a bunch of boring textbook answers. And he doesn't go back and look at previous fights he's had? Really?? What kind of fighter doesn't use all of the tools he can use to stay in tune with where he's at and how he can progress? Last fight(s) mean nothing? Holy moly, I think Mikey will have an easier fight than I initially thought he'd have. He's very patient and has a bunch of different tools to work with. And Easter's last 3 fights were nothing to write home about. I'll be surprised if Mikey doesn't stop him in 8.Comment

Did the fighter do what we worked on?
Did he go back to bad habits we are trying to get away from?
No wonder why Easter always fights his opponents way...
I hope the odds are not too crazy for Mikey. I would like to bet Mikey and the under..Comment

"There were certain things we weren’t working on and focusing on that I knew I had to, but really wasn’t. I was really going into them fights fighting off talent, just fighting off talent. "
Those statements made me cringe a bit
Just don't see a path to victory for him. Too many bad habits. Like Roy says, when a guy gets into some trouble, he goes back to what he's accustomed to. I think we'll see that play out in this fight.Comment

He talked about patience, but got impatient in the interview responses. Distractions? If your not able to discipline your surroundings, how can you impose your style in the ring. I have a feeling this guy has way to much extra curricular activities going on his personal life.Comment

It's good to be confident but don't take Garcia lightly. To say Garcia will be an easy win, I hope that is just talk.
I get every fighter believes or should believe they are going to beat the next fighter. I guess something along the lines like
"I believe in my skills, I have what it takes to win I will get my hand raised when it's all said and done." Boxing is mental so that might be the edge he is trying to give himself. I really don't expect it to be an easy fight for either fighter.Comment
