Exactly and thats what people don't understand. Stylistically Briedis was a tougher fight for Usyk than Gassiev will be.

Gassiev is gonna catch Usyk and hurt him, put fear into his heart and give him a worldly painful experience!.

Usyk already gotta gap, Gassiev's left hook will give Usyk more missing teeth for better pictures!
Gassiev catched Dorticos several times with big shots until the 12th round. So ? He took it all and in the 12th round he was exhausted because he never went 12 rounds before in his entire career. Usyk has a good chin too and he was never hurt even against big Heavyweights at WSB like Joe Joyce. Usyk made a fight out of it. Joyce is bigger & stronger than Gassiev and even he couldn't hurt Usyk.

Gassiev even got hit too much by short & old Lebedev who had to come close to Gassiev because of his size and reach disadvantage. Usyk on the other hand will school Gassiev from the outside and in Round 10 stepping up the pace to finish him.

Close, tough fight... but IMO Usyk has this one. Both are very talented, but Usyk just seems to have a little more grit than Gassiev.

I don't really have a dog in this fight, but I don't think it will go to the scorecards... (... and there still is the issue of this one taking place in Moscow)...

Ruin a promotion? Who gives a damn about the promotion of a fight? The WBSS is a great thing and is matching up the best against the best. This fight is happening and it is the two best CWs in the world. I don't care what anyone says leading up to it. I'm here for the actual fight, not the drama beforehand.
If you are more interested in the build up to the fight and the back and fourth drama that exists before the actual fight, maybe boxing is not for you. I would suggest WWE or perhaps even a day time soap opera. There's no real fighting there but there is a whole lot of fabricated beef and trash talk.

No way? You are deluded. Did you even see how he fought Briedis? He was walking into counters all night and was lucky to get the decision and Gassiev is better than Briedis. This should be a great fight. If Usyk wants to win he's not going to be able to come in the front door all night like he did against Briedis. Gassiev is a solid counter puncher and has arguably the most power in the division.

I totally agree with you. It's nice to know there are some people here with a grain of sense. All these clowns whining about Sanchez's comments, which were honest and accurate, are just a bunch of GGG hating crybabies. They can't handle the truth unless it reflects positively on their boxer boyfriends.

There is no cruiserweighter on this planet that can defeat Usyk.
Another totally bias, deluded clown. Usyk could've lost against Briedis who the majority of people would consider inferior to Gassiev! I'm a fight of both Usyk and Gassiev but I think after that last fight, it's very clear that he is beatable and certainly not invincible. Yes he is skilled, yes he is fast, yes he has good footwork and hand speed but he got timed with solid counters all night against Briedis.
It's totally ridiculous to say he is unbeatable. How can you compare Joyce to Gassiev? First off, that was in the amateurs 5 years ago and secondly, Joyce is still green as a pro and is yet to show how he would compete against legit contenders/title holders. Gassiev is a proven elite level CW.

Why didn't Usyk stop Briedis? Why couldn't he dominate that fight? Why did he get caught with counter after counter? If he's so superior to every other CW as far as skill level is concerned, why was his face busted up after that fight and why did he not win every round?
Gassiev>Briedis and Usyk had trouble with Briedis so I don't know where all this Usyk is going to obliterate Gassiev is coming from. The fight could go either way depending on how Usyk fights and how easy Gassiev can time Usyk's tricky movement.
I like both fighters and can't wait to see how they match up. It's a 50/50. I don't know why so many fans are unable to be objective and give credit where credit is due.
