Date is on 4-weeks notice, and even if Lipinets was in the gym, cutting to 147 shouldn't be much of an issue. He gets a good-looking opponent, and if he wins in style, he puts himself back into the driver's seat at 140lbs.

With Prograis, Baranchyk-Yigit, Rellikh-Troyanovsky, Taylor, and Maurice Hooker all seemingly set for the WBSS (Bob Arum seems to be leaning on the WBO to not let Hooker fight in the tournament), with the final vacant spot allegedly for Ryan Martin, Lipinets simply needs to keep himself sharp while the tournament plays out.
