Having a title doesn't mean you have a better resume. Look at when Liam Smith held the WBO title without ever fighting a good solid top ten world class fighter.
But it's OK, you can't give me the names of Americans who have better resumes. You can give names, but they sure as hell don't have better resumes. Try anyway because I could do with a laugh.
so, since con has been CLEARLY dominating ww since 2011, he cant even accidentally bump into a title ?!?!?!?
Didnt bother to read it all but the same happened to Errol Spence, he was removed from the rankings in April because he refused to sign up for the Clean Boxing Program.
Spence is probably the hardest juiicer in the sport right now.
Pretty sure he has 2 losses on his record, but why let facts get in the way of things.
Besides, look at the nature of his losses. Going up 2 weights to fight the best MW of his era, who just happens to be a brutal puncher. Then he dropped 2 divisions to a division he already could barely make, after coming off a beating and eye surgery to fight Spence, rather than duck him and vacate.
If more boxers had the balls that Brook does, the sport would be far far better.
I'll take a fighter that takes on a challenge and loses some fights than a fighter that refuses to step up when a challenge is put in front of them.
It’s a shame that there’s people on here that will disagree with this and they, along with their way of thinking, are only serving a detriment to the way a lot of stuff gets dealt with in modern boxing. Usually casuals that think a loss makes you worthless...does nothing but encourage big fighters/Promotions to tread lightly.
