  • Comments Thread For: Matthysse Arrives in Malaysia, Hungers To Retire Pacquiao

KUALA LUMPUR--It's going to be "war" in Malaysia as WBA "reagular" welterweight champion Lucas Matthysse didn't hide his intentions of defending his championship belt by retiring eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao 10 days from now.

"Manny Pacquiao. I want to defeat a legendary fighter like Manny. This is not Judah, Alexander, Postol or Garcia," said Matthysse

if manny still has about 50% left in him, then you'll find out real quick that he's not like the other guy's you have fought.

Yeah we'll see. I honestly thought Pac beat a young Horn and this was despite even I constantly noticing Pac was missing openings he would of seen in his younger days and his timing was waaaaay off. I mean it was bad. Yet I somehow I felt he did enough to win and nearly put Horn away in the 9th.

Against Lucas it will either be more of the bad or with Lucas age himself that it can offset Pac's deteriorated skills enough for him to still pull out a W.

I was literally coming in here to ask the same thing. I hope it’s not actually on PPV. I would pay the $5 to watch it on ESPN+ but I’m not paying no $50 for this.
