    Give Arum Exclusive Content Deal

and he will eventually give you crappy showcases.

Top Rank on ESPN launched with some good fights. Ramirez v. Imam was good...

Zurdo's last 2 fights on ESPN have been hot garbage - completely pointless. You know opponents are garbage when Zurdo whitewashes the scorecards, but still gets rightfully criticized for a poor showing.

Now we got Ramirez as a 40:1 favorite in a completely pointless fight. 40 to 1 favorite!! How is that even possible?? Its not like Ramirez is a p4p dude. Where did they find this opponent.

When will networks learn the lesson? Give Arum - or any promoter really -- an exclusive content deal, and that promoter will use your networks to build up his fighter's image.

Remember guys, Arum left HBO because they finally put their foot down and didn't want to continue to pay for garbage fights.

Then Arum responded with "HBO doesn't know shlt about match making"

    "Time to go to ESPN!"

Arum wants to build up his stable of fighters with careful match making. Letting risky fights "marinate."

I can understand that. Ramirez can draw 10,000+ to Fresno even matched against a no hope opponent. Its a good way to build up a fighter locally. Thats a promoters view of match making. Rather than throwing his fighter to the wolves and possibly ruining him.

But, why oh why would any network sign up for that? As boxing fans, we dont want to see careful match making, we want to see young fighters tested -- thrown to the wolves.

When will networks learn that you must keep pressure on a promoter CONSTANTLY, or you get crap. Once you give an exclusive content deal, all the pressure is off.

Honestly, Top Rank just doesn't have the stable to put on good fights card after card. You need a deep deep stable for the amount of dates they have. You also need to work with someone like Haymon to pull it off. He has the amount of quality fighters where you could for the most part put on solid shows for majority of the year. DAZN will run into a similar issue. And the ratings for the latest TR card was terrible. I believe it did less than the Spence card, and that should never happen for a primetime ESPN card. The next two weeks you will have more showcases with Ramirez and Prograis.

If Haymon doesn't lock up a FOX deal, then he needs to make some type of deal with ESPN or DAZN. Where he put some of his fighters on ESPN or DAZN. It would benefit all parties.

I look up Zurdo's opponents on boxrec and they are extremely low rated. As low as 100th in the world.

Networks need to pay for the best matchups. Force promoters to work with each other if they want that TV money and airtime.

Another possibility is that networks could try signing exclusive deals with sanctioning bodies instead of with promoters. Offer to televise all WBC top 10 matchups and championship fights for example.

NO! ESPN might need to look into working with OTHER PROMOTERS and not just ARUM. Arum roster is actually a bit THIN which is why we're getting stuck with some AWFUL Cards in between in between Loma and Crawford fights

I think Arum Mentioned that ESPN was interested in Bidding on Fights for their APP from other Promoters. I wish networks would get back to bidding for the BEST FIGHTS instead of this Promoter Exclusive Deal BS. Most of these Promoters don't have the Roster to consistently deliver good card!

Dont think it is that bad. He is somewhat protecting both his Ramirez.
Gilberto certainly needs to fight better opposition, but Jose just beat Iman and I can understand from a promoters perspective why they were not eager to just put in with prograis right away. Jose has also changed trainer and needs to get used to garcia in the corner.

Loma is in good fights, Crawford is in decent fights, Valdez is always in life or death battles lol, Beltran is just used for lomachenko to snatch another belt.
Gvozdyk is about to fight stevenson. Saucedo had a decent step up. Jessie Magdaleno was fighting a clearly dangerous opponent in Isaac Dogboe.
Christopher Diaz will fight for a title.

Jesse Hart, Kavaliauskas, Jennings, Ruiz Jr., Jerwin Ancajas should be put in better fights.
