            I suspect It was less since in 2000 he won the Junior World Championships in Budapest, Hungary as a Light Welterweight.
            That was 18 years ago so that would make Golovkin 18. So at age 15 Canelo was in the same weight class as Golovkin at age 18.

                  And canelo at 20 was fighting GROWN men while GGG was fighting teens with head gear on. Damn your full of SHT and excuses. Mr. 154-168 but ONLY at 160. Funny how when GGG went pro he went DOWN instead of up.

                      No at age 20 Golovkin was fighting and beating the top amateurs in the world who were the same age as him.
