Unbelievable, after all that Rojas doesn't get a title shot at Santa Cruz. No he has to beat Jo-Jo Diaz & then beat the winners of ...& then get a title shot. I love the way the say once beaten Jo-Jo Diaz...guess what, Rojas is once beaten also & he avenged it.
    Rojas by 10th round ko!

rojas has been waiting on the WBA to mandate him against Leo Santa Cruz. But in typical WBA BS fashion instead of eliminating the Regular WBA belt and just have the Super belt for the winner of Cruz and Mares then mandate that winner to fight Rojas the number 1 contender and Interim champ but no they bump Rojas up to Regular champ. Now somebody else will fight for the Interim belt and you have technically 3 belts in the same damn weight class. So much for WBA eliminating belts or enforcing Cruz to fight Rojas.

Rojas vs Jojo is actually a good scrap fight could go either way but tired of all the BS from WBA

It wouldn't surprise me to see Claudio Marrero (who Rojas ko'd) get a shot at the title before Rojas. Marrero's recent ko of Jorge Lara in the 1st round will garner him a title shot before Rojas, mark it down...

          according to fat boy dan

Not only did they not mandate Cruz to fight Rojas they actually told 2 different fights they were fighting for the WBA regular belt. LMAO the WBA are some shady bytches

In WBA land it is business as usual for the sanctioning body to absurdly recognize three titles in the same weight class, the super, regular and interim belts. However, this week the lunacy was raised to a new level as two promoters both said the WBA had approved their fights for the regular WBA featherweight belt, leading to confusion over which was which or even leaving open the possibility that organization would to sanction the same belt twice. Would that really shock anyone? Golden Boy said the WBA signed off on its fight between Jesus Rojas and Joseph Diaz on Aug. 11 to be for regular title after Rojas had been elevated from the interim title. However, the fight between Jhack Tepora and Edivaldo Ortega on the Manny Pacquiao-Lucas Matthysse card on July 14 was also believed to be for the same title per Top Rank, which said the WBA sent an official letter acknowledging it. On Thursday, the WBA finally clarified matters. It said the Tepora-Ortega bout would be for the vacant interim title. So Rojas-Diaz is for Rojas' regular title. And, oh yeah: Leo Santa Cruz is holds the super title!

now that they have removed Rojas as number 1 contender and bumped him to WBA regular champ Cruz no longer has to fight him. That fight isn't happening. Before that happens Cruz will vacate or more up and Rojas will get bumped to Super status.

Stuff like this didn't happen back in the days, and if it did they stripped the champ of his title. I hope Karma works in Jesus Rojas favor& he gets his title shot. This is terrible for boxing, Santa Cruz & Mares had the belt hostage for their rematch which took over a year to happen & now Rojas has to fight Jo-Jo & if that isn't bad enough then he has to fight the winner of Tepora-Ortega. Hmmm...Golden Boy Promo has had Jesus Rojas on shelf for 1 year, no problem he still gonna do work!
