It's clear Hearn is worried of an AJ Loss

With signing the DAZN deal and being locked for what 3 years to produce quality, Hearn has to remain highly relevant. AJ is his cash cow when he needs that yearly huge boost in revenue in case his smaller shows aren't a success. They know it's risky as all hell fighting Wilder now because AJ just entered his super stardom, he could easily lose it by losing to Wilder.

Love him or hate him, even they acknowledge Wilder's wild unpredictability makes him highly dangerous to fight. I can't blame them for coming up with a million excuses to get out of the fight and Hearn can milk AJ for a bit longer.

My only fear is they wait too long and this will not benefit Wilder who is the older man. They go and pull a Pac-Jr. and we know how that went. So many bad was learned from Mayweather that he made a new wave of safety first fighters that care about their zero more than anything and how to navigate shark infested waters safely while everyone else is beating each other up.

I hear you....but they wont be able to hold out much longer

the public pressure from the fans and boxing media will be too much....they might let it slide now and throw hearn a bone and "buy" his BS.....but if the fight don't go down next year AJ will feel the heat and the reprecussions...he wont be able to avoid fighting wilder in 2019

You must be new to boxing bc the way you avoid a certain fight is not initiate a offer in the first place bc that sets the wheels in motion !

And if you're not then you're just plain delusional !

Perfectly said. But youndidnt mention the real reason why it took a long time for Floyd Pac to get made. Pac wanted a 24 day cutoff date to testing. But good post, lmao. He is Hearns only true cash cow and Joshua lets him do the talking!

That’s why when you are the B-side money shouldn’t be your sole motivation. Getting that A-side contract should be your number 1 priority.

As long as AJ wins he never has to fight Wilder. The public pressure from fans and media will NOT be too much for AJ to stop making huge money in the UK fighting guys not named Wilder. Wilder can fight AJ anytime he wants if he accepts Hearn's terms. He may not like Hearn's terms but it's still many times what he ever made before. If he beats AJ he becomes the A side and can make demands.Right now AJ doesn't need to fight him and can watch Wilder get older fighting other guys and maybe even lose his WBC belt. Wilder is a high risk low reward fight for AJ. He can make huge money fighting less dangerous fighters like fat Fury.

He has that DANZ project and he can get a Fury/AJ fight. He won't be risking AJ to Wilder's right hand.

The bar kept moving up as team Wilder met it. Promoters are only loyal to money.

This is a such a dumb post. Even if Joshua did lose it wouldn't mean he would just fall off the face of the planet and not be worth anything anymore. He is a popular fighter with a very large and loyal fan base and they wouldn't just abandon him over one loss. Was Tyson no longer a cash cow after he lost to Douglas? Did Canelo's fans abandon him after he lost to Floyd? Joshua fought for the title in his 16th pro fight and has already unified twice. He's about to face another top 5 opponent in his 22nd fight in Povetkin later this year. I would hardly call that "safety first". Wilder on the other hand has one good name on his resume in 40 fights. lol

Eddie a boy with a sore tooth who refuse to get it pulled.

We keep telling the boy he have to see the dentist, but he stubborn. This problem aint going away. He have to come see me. He know Imma pull them belts off AJ. Yes it gonna be painful, but I do the job quickly. And it may hurt for a while afterwards, but you gonna feel proud of yourself for getting it done.
