Top Rank is the same company that's deliberately slowwalking the Ramirez-Prograis fight at the same time that rush Stevenson-Gvozdyk.

The plan is likely more sinister than that

I was once a fan of Joe but since the Top Rank deal, he's become ****ing unbearable to listen to. Constantly sucking off the home fighter, his commentary during Lomachenko V Linares was disgraceful

I find Ramirez about as entertaining as Leo Santa Cruz. The sooner he steps up and loses, the better.

Joe Tessitore is a company man, but when it was just him and Teddy Atlas on commentary, he was left free to call the action that was in front of him. Through the drudge that was Friday Night Fights, with excitement when the content was upgraded with PBC, and even the start of the Top Rank deal (Joe, Teddy, and Tim could've jelled into being a really good team).

Teddy Atlas gets fired, and it becomes absolutely clear that he's no longer sitting with his friend, calling fights, so he adjusts accordingly.
