Why is it Canelo's fault that GGG couldnt win? boxing isnt a team sport its on you, so why is GGG putting that blame on Canelo for his lost or inability to capture a victory? its all "Canelo didnt let GGG do this" Or "Canelo didnt let GGG do that" or "Canelo didnt give GGG enough chances" or "Canelo didnt let GGG fight his normal fight", why is this Canelo fault? This! !WAR MIKEY! is confusing why GGG didn't get the win vs why his team feels they didn't get the KO! They obviously thought they won the fight & the only excuse I've heard from them about why they didn't is because of Byrd's crappy scorecard, you know the same one that DLH & Gomez both said was shocking! On top of that all three judges gave Canelo round 1 even though Golovkin landed 50% more punches than Saul that round & Canelo didn't even throw a punch until 40secs into the fight. The Judges were obviously predisposed to give Canelo the benefit of the doubt from the start. One Judge gave round 7 to Saul which was a clear GGG round & was even one of the two rounds Byrd gave him. That was the difference in the judging & why Golovkin didn't get the nod.You are the one who is slow. GGG and his team said GGG won the fight so they aren't making excuses for winning. About 90% of the viewers thought GGG won as all the polls have shown. Even the Mexicans booed Canelo after the fight was over and the bogas decision was announced.
Actually it's Abel (you know, the trainer with Mexican heritage) that trained Golovkin in the style as he does all his fighters. Golovkin didn't come to the USA thinking this, he went to the Summit & Sanchez took him under his wing to train in a more exciting style to build his image. I'd say it worked pretty well since.
Here's a few quotes from both sides.
Sanchez: "Gennady has a completely different style than when he first came to me. We've been able to modify it and convert it into a fan-friendly style. If I'd have kept him how he was – the best way to describe it is that he came over here boxing like a Klitschko – we wouldn't be talking now. I was able to make a dramatic change, but I had to have a fighter who was willing to make that change with me. All of my guys fight similar styles, but they're similar because we feel, well, I feel, they need to entertain."
Canelo: "I'm ready to show how a true Mexican fights. If he wants to stand toe-to-toe I will not back down."
Oscar: "I was shocked, I’m in shock [scorecard] is a shocker. A lot of people are not understanding 118-110, just like myself."
Loeffler: "We’ve never seen Canelo get booed like that even by his own fans in that post-fight interview (in the ring), so definitely the majority of the public thought Gennady won the fight."
Gomez: "You might agree with me and you might not, and the fans might agree with me or they might not; it doesn’t matter. But Canelo and Golden Boy are victims of that bad card as well. Not just Golovkin. Everybody starts pointing their fingers at us, like if we had something to do with it. Then you have the bad scorecard and everybody started focusing on that. So in many ways, we’re a victim also, of that. It’s not fair to us."
Sanchez: "Big drama score. You don’t win fights backing up all night."
Sulaiman: "Hoping that Alvarez would bring back those glory days of Mexican warriors, It didn't happen. It was GGG fighting 'Mexican Style,' going forward at all times, dominating the action."Last edited by S7V7N; 07-04-2018, 01:04 PM.Comment

Probably because he fought like a ***** (despite being on PEDs) and bribed the judges. Only thing worse is trying to not make the fight at all, which is what he tried to do multiple times (like the ***** in your avi has done with Lomachenko, so it's not surprising you support both of these bums).Comment

I know it seems odd but that's where he ended up. In the center of the ring he was actually doing quite well. Something forced him back. I think he got caught with some hard punches or ran out of gas. Either way he retreated a lot in the fight. It did not appear to.me he was luring Golovkin to attack him on the ropes. If he was it wasn't working. Since he kept going there I have to conclude he was avoiding the center of the ring because he couldn't take Golovkin's punches for more than a brief time. That's how I saw it anyway.Comment
